Bloom # 100

The plant was my grandmother's and I seem to remember her saying it was given to her in the 1940s.  I personally know of the plant's existence for at least 40 years.

I have never seen another blossom with the striped markings.  Some of the flowers are solid pink, others are solid white, and some as striped in various designs.

It was probably planted 50 years ago on Dog River in Mobile AL. It blooms mid-season/late and has very large blooms which are very upright in the center. This photo was taken in Jan 2005

Hello...can you please help me identify this camellia. The plant is about 10-12 ft. tall and has grown in my grandparents yard for more than 56 yrs........I hope to air-layer this variety, since we had to sell the property and the tree is too large to move. thanks

Bloom # 103

I started this from a cutting taken from the Springhill College campus. (Good thing, too, that bush along with many others was destroyed in the recent “improvements”.)  This is its first year blooming for me from my graft, but it started blooming in early February and is still going.

Bloom # 104

We bought two of the same kind of Camellia sasanqua at Ibsen's Nursery probably about fifteen years ago but can't remember what variety they are. The blooms, which start opening around late Oct/ early Nov, are 3-4 inches in diameter. They have no scent. The plant is around 10-12 ft tall. I've been looking in every reference book I can find, but I haven't been able to identify them.

The attached photos are of a camelia in Alabama. We stay at an old camp house- at least 100 years old, and this camelia is growing in the side yard. It has been there as long as anybody can remember.  I live in St. Louis, and am currently trying to root some cuttings from it, although I don't think they'll do well this far north.  Any information or help would be appreciated.

Bloom # 106

Here's another beautiful camelia from the same old yard in Conecuh county. Can anyone give me informtion on this?

Bloom 107

Could you help me identify the name of camellia in these photos? I misplaced the id tag and unfortunately can't remember the name!
